Yen Bai vocational college is a pulic vocational college that is uder the state management of The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and under the management of  The People’s Committee  of Yen Bai province, YVC has the following functions and missions:

1. Functions:

Training and fostering vocation for workers in Yen Bai province and neighbor areas at 3 levels: Vocational college, intermediary and principle.

Training cooperation, researching applied science and technology and organizing production services to meet the needs of socio-economic development of Yen Bai province and other provinces in the region.

2. Missions:

- Training directly technical human resources in production, services at levels of  Vocational college, intermediary and principle in order to equip learners with vocational practice capacity that commensurate with their training level. Training learners who have good health, morality, sense of discipline and “industrial style”. YVC helps learners to find jobs, self-employment or continue to study higher level so that learners meet requirements of labor market.

- Building and performing programs, curriculums and vocational training materials.

- Building admissible plans and organizing vocational admission.

-  Organizing teaching and learning activities. Examinations, the graduated certificate,certificate, vocational training certificate according to regulations of The Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs.

- Recruiting, managing YVC’s teachers,cadres, staffs in sufficient quantity that is suitable for the profession and training scale as prescription by law.

- Researching science, applying technological advancements, technological transfer, carrying out production, business and scientific and technical services according to the provisions of law.

- Vocational counsel, counseling jobs for vocational learners freely.

- Coordinating with enterprises, organizations and individuals in vocational training activities.

- Organizing for teachers, cadres, staffs and vocational learners to participate in social activities.

- Implementing democracy and publicity in the performance of vocational missions, researching and application of science and technology in vocational training and financial activities.

- Managing and using YVC’s land, facilities, equipment and finance in accordance with the law.

       - Performing other missions as prescription by law.
